Biography
Professor Na’il Saleh (Ibrahim) obtained his Ph.D. in photochemistry from University of Missouri Columbia in USA. Professor Saleh continued his research as an Assistant Professor at Yarmouk University in Jordan. There he established a new laboratory for PL studies to understand the molecular photophysics of newly designed small organic molecules in solution, while simultaneously performing research in supramolecular chemistry as an independent research fellow at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. In 2021, he was appointed as a Professor at United Arab Emirates University in UAE, where he established a new laboratory for time-resolved PL studies of solid optical materials such as (supramolecular) solid architectures (biopolymers, COFs, MOFs, nanoparticles, metal oxides) and other semiconductors for designing new photo(electro)catalysts, bio-diagnostic agents, chemical sensors, and/or opt-electronic films for environmental, biomedical and energy applications, leading a small but active research group. Having a double bachelor's major in chemistry and biology, he is currently focusing on engineering new electronics or photonic devices for clinical applications.
