Ehsan Nowroozi (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in Information
Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Siena, Italy, in 2020, with a dissertation on machine learning techniques for image forensics in adversarial settings. He is currently a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Cyber Security at the Centre for Sustainable Cyber Security (CS2), University of Greenwich, London, U.K., and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He previously held postdoctoral positions at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), Queen's University Belfast, U.K., the SPRITZ Security and Privacy Research Group, University of Padova, Italy, and the VIPP Laboratory, University of Siena, and was an Assistant Professor at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, Turkey. His research interests include
adversarial machine learning, security and privacy of AI systems, federated learning security, agentic AI and large language model security, AI-enabled cybersecurity, formal verification of AI and distributed systems, and multimedia and digital forensics. He has authored top-tiers Q1 journal articles and two Springer research volumes, and holds a granted Turkish patent on deep learning for computer network security. He received the IEEE Communications Society Exemplary Editor Award in 2025 for IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, and the Professor Zdzislaw Pawlak Award for International Cooperation at FedCSIS 2023. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management and IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, is a member of the IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee, and acts as a grant assessor for the EPSRC Peer Review College and Innovate UK.
