Biography
Dr. Omneya Attallah is a Full Professor at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), where she leads cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence for biomedical applications and biological sciences. She earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from AASTMT, receiving full scholarships , and completed her Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Aston University, UK. She has been recognized in Stanford University’s prestigious list of the Top 2% of the World’s Scientists for three consecutive years (2022–2024). Dr. Attallah is the recipient of the Bioinformatics Sciences Award and multiple research excellence awards from AASTMT. She also received the Best Paper Award at ICICM 2022 and several competitive travel awards from IEEE and the Association for Women in Computing. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Computational Intelligence in Medicine, a senior IEEE member, a professional ACM memeber, and a full member of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and Sigma Xi
